The inaugural Gammon Scholarship Golf Tournament Fundraiser occurred on May 15th at the Woodmont Golf and Country Club. It was an overwhelming success! A total of 44 golfers, both men, and women, participated in the event. Their support and camaraderie helped raise substantial funds and strengthened friendships. These resources will fund scholarships for our dedicated students who are called to serve in various ministries worldwide.
The tournament teed off on Monday at 9 am with a shotgun start. All golfers were in their carts, eager and ready. Following President Dean Lewis’s heartfelt expression of gratitude and prayer, the players ventured off to their first holes under the blessing of gorgeous weather. By 2:30 pm, the last golfers wrapped up their games, paving the way for a reception and awards ceremony.
Awards were presented to the top three teams, the female and male players who achieved the longest drives, and the player who got the closest to the pin. The event was not only tremendously enjoyable but also served a worthy cause. We deeply thank all the golfers who played with such a purpose.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our 282 generous sponsors, including corporate backers, who helped us surpass our fundraising goal. Together, we raised over $70,000 and served as instruments of the Lord, providing future church leaders with the necessary resources to answer God’s call in their lives.
